Fix Your Medium-to-Small Distribution Center or Warehouse
By: - Jack Valentine – "The Warehouse Master"
In the rapidly changing business and marketing environment it is imperative that you keep your material handling costs under control, and at the same time provide superior customer service. Yes, you can do both.
The shopping habits of the world are changing rapidly, and if you do not develop your business to go to “B to C” very quickly, you are going to be left behind and your business is going to suffer as your competition does develop these skills. If you do not develop it “economically,” then you fail.
I have over 40 years experience in all levels of medium to small warehouse operations management. I have managed and improved Distribution Centers from 40,000 sq ft to simultaneous management of three remote warehouses totaling 500,000 sq ft.
We do not work for a conveyor supplier, we do not represent any material-handling companies, we provide expertise in lowering your cost-per-unit, and at the same time providing world class customer service. My operating premise is; “If you give me an ‘in-stock’ order by 3:00pm today, it will ship today.”
We do not need to sell you on the immediate need to improve your material handling costs and service, it should be apparent to you on your financial statements. We can help you in both “B to B” and “B to C.”
What you can expect from us:
1. A professional coaching approach to improving your present warehouse operation.
2. We will ask you specific questions via email about your present operations.
3. Based on your answers and subsequent telephone conversations, we will advise if we believe we can help you or not, and if not why not. – (This part is FREE.)
4. If you and I agree that we can help, we will come to your location and provide a physical survey of your existing operation.
5. Once the survey is completed, we will come back to your location, sit down with you and your management staff, along with your “IT” staff, to recommend very specific assistance to bring your “DC” forward.
6. We will provide follow-up and guidance as needed to complete the project.
